What's in a Peak?

Fast Phonics is a systematic, synthetic phonics program with 20 levels. Each level is presented as a Mountain Peak.

Each level covers one set of letters thoroughly with more than 20 activities – videos, interactive learning activities and books – for students to work through.

Let’s look at Peak 5

Peak 5 Overview

Peak 5 covers these Set 5 sounds: l, h, f, b, ll, ff, ss.

The Peak 5 sequence includes six videos, 14 activities and four books. Students work through each part on these stepping stones.

The six videos cover four letter sounds, b and d confusion and double letters.

This peak includes four books. Students read each book unassisted, and then answer five comprehension questions. If students don’t pass the book quiz, they can listen to the book read aloud.
